Here’s how I started my solo consulting business without spending a fortune and what are the most important things you should focus on when starting yours:

I organized the info by the following topics:

  1. Time
  2. Strategy
  3. Tactics
  4. Resources
  5. Notes

TIME

The single most important thing you have is time.

Everyone and everything will try to grab a piece of your time. You must be vigilant in protecting it.

The biggest enemy? Yourself. I spent countless hours on complete bullshit that generated zero results. It’s a natural part of the learning curve. Some people call it procrastination.

Example: I spent countless hours obsessing over my tech stack and automation. My business caters to high-ticket clients. Automations are NOT a must-have, and I can do stuff manually since I don’t scale. When this issue starts costing you precious time and money, pay someone to set it up for you. That’s what I did.

To protect your time, ask yourself repeatedly: “Is what I’m doing now the best way to spend my time considering my end goal?”

If not, abort, or delegate. Only do what matters most.
